Issue #27
Hi Page Turners,
This week was the start of the US Open and admittedly I haven't been watching it as closely as I watched Wimbledon but nevertheless I have been keeping up to date with it and it is amazing. It is a sport that I am fascinated by but also so entertained. It is gripping and when the draw comes to the last 16 it really is edge of the seat stuff.
The players have their game plans ready and are gunning for that title. https://www.forbes.com/sites/justinbirnbaum/2023/08/28/tunisian-tennis-star-ons-jabeur-has-a-strong-game-plan-for-winning-off-the-court/
I hope you have had a good week, reply back and let me know what you been up to or comment below.
Books 📚
As promised last week I read and reviewed- Manifest- review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5779461123?book_show_action=false
It is life changing and really changes your outlook/attitude on life. I mean we all (I believe) subconsciously manifest so why not harness it to our advantage. It is something that I want to explore more and educate myself in.
I also read a thriller/mystery about a kidnapping called- All The Dangerous Things- my review of the book here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5799449529?book_show_action=false I gave it 5* because I unexpectedly loved it, the writing was so visceral and the story is something that I will be thinking about for some time. Highly recommend.
What books did you pick up this week? What do you think about manifesting?
Opinion piece📰
Why Manifestation Isn’t Just A Trend: How To Manifest - This podcast hosted by Ali abdaal was a great listen after I read the book.
These Q&A videos are just my comfort videos and I mean Anne Hathaway is just so timeless.

A film on tennis and Zendaya is main character- count me in.
' Challengers It’s a movie about tennis, but not really—it’s more about the consequences of failure on a global stage.' I already love it. This article was amazing. A child star growing up in the public eye, fashion and what she still has to bring.

The Dior book club another of my comfort videos and obviously adding more books on to my TBR. (As if I need any more of that)
💭 My 3 am thoughts 🕒
Once in a blue moon came true as people around the world were treated to a sight of the beauty of the blue moon. (Fun fact I just thought it was an ordinary full moon that was unusually bright until I found out the next morning it was a blue moon) 😂😂
Quote of the week ✏
“I guess everybody always romanticizes the past,” she says. “You want to be kind of OG.”
