Hi Page Turners,
I started writing again! Honestly it feels monumental as I haven't written anything for about two years. So far it's really just journaling/social commentary but I am really letting it all flow on to the page. I did also write a tiny bit of fiction which was basically something I over heard and went 💡. The last time I wrote it was kind of traumatic (self inflicted) so it was a bit nerve wracking coming back to it but when I started it just felt right. So I am excited and my goal is to write a little every day (or relisticly every other day). Also because I love stationary and buy it compulsive, I forced myself to write in a journal that was otherwise sitting their looking pretty because that's what I do. How was your week? Are you a writer, comment below or reply to this email about your routine (if you have one) what you like to write.
Books 📚
I read Death at the Party and I actually really loved it and compulsively read it. Highly recommend. If you have subscribed to my blog you would already know that I posted my monthly bookish wrap-up and monthly update. So go and check it all out and I mean subscribe of course 😀

Opinion piece📰
With the devestating news of the floods/Earthquake in Morocco and Libya what really irks me is especially in Libya where the conflict due to the war has left absoloute destruction and the infrastructure has been dismissed because of quick and cheap jobs. These quick and cheap jobs leave to so much destruction and tragedy and ultimately takes lives.
In other news Djokovic won his 24 grand slam... I know right crazy stats but I mean for me anyways he truly is the GOAT. His mentality, the way he plays, his knowledge... let's just say I am cheering him on for another 24.
It was interesting to watch this video and understand how tennis players compared to other sports are actually paid the lowest. It shocked me because knowing tennis is an expensive sport in itself and it shocks me they are not paid the same standard. Especially for people who come from a disadvantaged background. I feel more needs to be done.

Language and linguistics have been a rabbit hole of mine. Ever since I studied linguistics as a final module for uni it has just been fuelled. I came across a Ted Talk discussing how language shapes the way we think and it was a great listen!

I also went to an indoor market last week and I came across a whole section of yarn (I was a bit overwhelmed being a beginner but I definitely know where to come to when I am running low on yarn). I also think food shapes the way we think...because well I mean the picture speaks for itself. 😉😍😍
Finally September doesn't just mark Autumn's arrival it also marks strictly... and speaking of strictly I have been watching Gemma and Gorka's Life Behind the Lens and absolutely love it. I mean I'm a junkie for trashy reality tv but this anything but authentic and genuine I would highly recommend.
💭 My 3 am thoughts 🕒
When I don't watch Titanic for the ... who's counting again? 😀😀 I devour anything Kate/Leo related so naturally...
Also Leo's film looks amazing! I cannot wait to watch it.

I’m just about to start A363, so I need to write again. So far I’ve been doing little vignettes of observations but no serious writing. After reading your post I will switch off my phone and get my head down to some work!! Thankyou!
