Issue #30
Hi Page Turners,
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has another trailer and it looks unreal! It is probably one of my most anticipated films of the year and will most likely be my favourite. I mean Viola Davis as Dr Gaul-slay- and because this was a longer trailer it was more of an insight into how the film is going to be. I can't wait for it to come out.
Reply to this email or comment below on your most anticipated film/movie/series is and your predictions for your favourite of the year? (I mean we only do have 3 months left of the year 😮)

This was an amazing video showcasing the archives behind The British Library and honestly I want to do a research programme *just* to have an excuse to trawl through the archives. 😂
I finished listening to The Great White Bard by Farah and it really challenged my preconceptions of what I thought of the Bard and of Shakespeare. Find my full review here-

This article was a great read https://www.newyorker.com/news/annals-of-communications/hasan-minhajs-emotional-truths it discussed this idea of morality of telling emotional truths rather than factual and if the audience know this difference does it change the perspective.
I was reading an annual report if you like when I came across this diagram.
It kind of reminded me of how much our lives are also shaped around technological inventions.

Married At First Sight (UK) is back! I am obsessed with the show I don't know if it is because it is cringe and you want it to work out and it is crazy that it just works.
Talking of... Succession has come alive with Rupert Murdoch announcing his retirement. I always find it is sensitive and gutsy using material from people who are still very much alive. But we obviously love it with the successful shows such as The Crown and of course Succession.
💭 My 3 am thoughts 🕒
Last Wednesday I somehow timed my walk when it was hammering down raining. I got soaked and had that icky feeling. I could have let that ruined my day but instead I made myself enjoy the feeling of walking in the rain and just let myself forget that I was wet and just appreciated the moment I was in. Honestly I enjoyed it. It just made me realise if we sometimes change our mentality to positive thinking or changing the situation to benefit you it really goes a long way. I am definitely going to use this and apply it to more things.
