Issue #43
Hi Page Turners,
How was your week? To all those who celebrate Christmas I hope have a nice time and enjoy the new year. Whilst celebrating do take some time out for prayers and thoughts to all those who are suffering and who are no longer with us. The numbers in Palestine are continuing to increase with 20,000 have now been killed. Israel are continuing and their efforts are even escalating regardless of the UN's pressure. Bethlehem, today put up a flag in solidarity for Palestine but although it is a thoughtful gesture it is just that so I am linking a donation page where if you can spare a few pounds please donate towards Palestine as they need any help they can get. With the hospital resources running out every donation counts. Link is down below

Books 📚
I finished Flight by Lynn Steger Strong it was a short book and I read it at the right time as it was set in December and during this week. It was about family dynamics and about how you act after grief and loosing a loved one. I gave it 3 stars as I didn't enjoy it as much I expected but it was a nice short read if your looking for a seasonal read then I would pick this up.
Opinion piece 📰
This week I watched Scandal: phone hacking on BBC IPlayer and it was interesting because this week Prince Harry won his legal court cases against the UK tabloids due to illegal phone hacking that they did in order to obtain stories to sell and write in the papers. In the doc it was shocking how long they have been doing this for but also the extent to how they do it and to how much people and how it affects the victim's and their lives and extended family and friends and relationships. It will change journalism and the way they report it is such a thought-provoking and really shocking doc definitely recommend to watch it and keep up to date with the court case.
The result of the ongoing Houthi rebel attacks in the Red Sea, ships has impacted global economy through oil and different things. The ships are now instead of going through the Red Sea and through Suez Canal are taking the long way around through the southern cape of Africa. They used the fact about the ship's as scapegoat rather than what this was all for. This act was to take action against Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
