Issue #44
Hi Page Turners,
This so going to be the last newsletter of the year. You can check out all of my past issues here- https://open.substack.com/pub/everypagesheturns and if you can comment below or e-mail me back giving any feedback on what you liked and what you want more/less of.
In the new year the format will change but more on that in the next issue. As we go into the new year I pray for peace and for the fighting to stop from Ukraine to the war in Palestine and Israel. This week I will be posting my most anticipated post (my year in books) so if you want to be first to read it make sure you subscribe to my blog. Link below.
Please do donate to Palestine as the attacks are continuing to be more and more hostile and the situation is worsening.
This issue is a quick read so you can get back to your last minute things before 2024.

Books 📚
I finished It Ends at Midnight by Tyce Harriet a really good thriller about past experiences and it was set around New Year's so a perfect timing read. It had short chapters so it was a quick read and very gripping. A four star read.
Opinion piece 📰
This year's look back video highlighted how climate change and war dominated the year. This video did an incredible job capturing it all.

This article https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2023/dec/27/how-did-the-world-get-like-this-eight-books-to-help-explain-the-way-we-live-now is a great read to add to your TBR. Suggested books to read to understand what is happening now and to make better sense of things. Definitely recommend to read.
💭 My 3 am thoughts 🕒
I pray for peace and for an end to all the fighting and suffering happening in Palestine, Ukraine and all those who are caught up in war.
