I haven't posted on my blog since early January so it is much needed. Any tasks or to-do's you're tackling this week. Let me know by commenting below or replying back to this email.
Reading 📚
Yesterday I finished Drowning a thriller novel written by T. J Newman. A slow burn that actually left me close to tears and rooting for the characters survival. Think Titanic meets Liam Neeson... A really good read my review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6282489314
Articles of interest 📰
I came across this (https://twitter.com/blader/status/1758334235889578392?s=20)
haunting yet realistic tweet on X.
Russia, the US believe, is developing a space-based anti-satellite nuclear weapon. They also believe they may launch it this year. It comes amidst as the UK trident missile test fails for the second time. Do you think nuclear weapons and their use should be government restricted or should be publicly debated? On Wednesday in parliment what was meant to be a debate about the war in Israel and Palestine turned into a row about which party's motion should be voted on. It was embarrassing to watch and honestly I belive it was used as a scapegoat to delay a vote on Ceasefire for Gaza which should have been the priority.
I loved and learnt a lot from this video-
This has been my rabbit hole read of the week. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protests_against_the_Iraq_War I was initially interested in it because it is one the biggest protests that it has even won a Guinness world record for it.
The UK dropped aid into Gaza for the first time since the war. As much as it is a welcome and positive move it should have been done much earlier. Especially since this aid won't cover much ground in terms of getting food and water to deprived children and adults in Palestine. Read more on it here- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-68360902
