Hey Page Turners,
welcome to my summer round-up. I hope you have all had a lovely summer and whether you are in the UK or not have made most of the sun and the outdoors before we get used to the all too familiar cloudy and wet seasons.
As you probably know by now summer is my favourite season so I always try to make the most of it and savour every moment. Last year’s summer was all about relaxing and recuperating from the intensity of my finals for university and the last four years of studying for my undergrad. This year one of my goals were to spend more time outdoors, read more under the blue sky and to spend more time with family. I can report back that I achieved this goal of spending more time outdoors (in the form of outdoor games, bbq’s and bouncy castles, going to outdoor events and really just taking the moment to sit under the clouds and watch the planes go by.) I read more this summer than I did last summer whilst watching and loving every moment of Queens/Eastbourne and of course Wimbledon. I did also manage to read outside- not as much as I wanted to- but a good amount compared to last year. I did make really nice memories of this years summer with the family. Looking back at pictures and reflecting on it all it has been one of the best summers I had in a really long time. Of course it didn’t go plain sailing and there has been times with family members being ill and other factors which is not great. However keeping it positive here this is a summer special and I want to tell you my highlights through the form of books, writing, film/TV and more.
