Hi Page Turners,
It has been a while since I have posted on here but honestly, I think I have had the worst burnout phase of my life. I am still recovering from it. I started this newsletter to be consistent and send it out weekly and this year I hope to achieve this goal. I want to post more with new content and for you to enjoy reading and of course for me to enjoy writing it. So thank you for sticking around and stay tuned for what’s to come. For now, enjoy my reading wrap up and if you wish to read this on my blog I have a link at the bottom of the page for you to do so. Enjoy reading!
Welcome to the long awaited and most anticipated post, my bookish wrap up of the year. In case you missed last years wrap up you can read it here- https://fizwrites.wixsite.com/website/post/my-year-in-review-end-of-year-book-tag-my-2023-reading-wrap-up

Here are my storygraph stats from 2024:
Reflecting on my 2024 reading goals.
If you read last year's post you will be familiar with the goals I set myself. As a reminder the goals I set were:
My reading goals for 2024:
- Re-read more of my favourites.
- Finish my TBR and accomplish at least 30 books on my reading list.
- Read at least one classic a month.
- Read more non-fiction and self help books including audiobooks.
- Read more guilty pleasures (fantasy, young adult etc)
- Create my own reading challenge and attempt to read 24 books that are different out of my comfort zone genres.
- Write shorter reviews (stick to 140 characters).
Let's go through all of them and reflect. My first goal was re-read more of my favourites, I only read four. I didn't exactly achieve this goal but I guess it was down to reading new releases and just not really being in the mood to read it. I definitely want to read more re-reads this year so I think instead of saying I want to read more I can instead write a quantifiable number and see if I hit that goal instead.
The next goal was to finish my TBR and accomplish 30 books on my reading list. I have to say I did read quite a few on my reading list however I didn't get close to finishing my reading list nor reading 30 books.
I also didn't achieve to read one classic a month. I think that was mostly down to preparation and not organizing one classic read a month. I also think to read one classic a month might be out of read for me so I will do this in another way.
I did achieve more non-fiction and self help/including audiobooks as my stats for reading this genre grew from last year.
I didn't create my own reading challenge and I always try to read outside of my comfort zone so I achieved half of it.
I did achieve writing shorter reviews. I didn't stick to the 140 characters but I did enjoy writing shorter reviews and it made me think and critically write which is a win.
So, from reflecting my 2024 goals I have come up with five new goals that I am setting for 2025 these are:
2025 Reading Goals:
Read 10 of my favourite books as re-reads.
Read 5 books each quarter of the year from my reading list.
Read 3 classics this year.
Read more personal development books at least 20.
Read/listen to at least 10 audiobooks/podcasts
I hope you enjoyed reading and reviewing my books with me and of course looking at the stats. Consider commenting and keeping the conversation going by writing on your reading year and your goals for 2025 and comment if you have read any of the books I have mentioned and if you agree/disagree.
In the new year I will keep you updated with what I am reading whether I am sticking to my goals and updating you on my reading challenge that I have created.
