Salaam Page Turners,
Ramadan Mubarak!
The days are growing longer and brighter, as we leave behind the winter chill and eagerly welcome the approaching spring. March is here, and it promises to be a month filled with prosperity and blessings. Let's say it together: March is going to be a good month!
This March holds a special place in my heart, as it marks the beginning of one of my favorite Islamic months—Ramadan. The first few days are often sluggish as we adjust our routines, breaking old habits and increasing our acts of worship. But the beauty of Ramadan lies in this very transformation.
One of the practices I've recently started is journaling with a journal, specifically the "Ramadan Legacy" journal. It's been incredibly beneficial in helping me keep track of my habits, stay accountable, and organize my time efficiently so that no moment is wasted. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to make the most of this sacred time.
I would love to hear all your habits and routine your picking up and also the ones you are leaving behind. On today's Ramadan calender one of my to do’s is to read about the passing of Fatima (RA), which occurred on the 3rd of Ramadan. One of my Ramadan goals was to read more Islamic stories and I thought this would be a perfect one to start with. In our next issue, I'll be sure to share my reflections and takeaways. What is on your to do list today and use this as your accountability to go and do it and check it of the to do list.
My first Ramadan read this year is "Hidden Fires" by Sairish Hussain. The book weaves a powerful narrative about family, love, and resilience, reflecting themes that resonate deeply during this holy month. I will be discussing about more book rec’s in an upcoming post so stay tuned for that!
"Ramadan is not just a month of fasting; it is a time to reflect, renew, and strengthen our faith and relationship with Allah."
Have an amazing Ramadan and keep me and rest of the ummah in your dua’s.
