Salaam Page Turners,
I hope you are all having a wonderful and productive week.
To start of with I will be reviewing my February reads.
I read a total of fourteen books and the highlights were;
Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson read my review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7272677829
Powerless and Reckless by Lauren Roberts-
Read Powerless review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7314540823
Reckless review- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7359654305
Carving Shadows into Gold by Brigid Kemmerer- review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/7344419437
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros- review here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5538043824
As you can tell I definitely was in the mood for fantasy as I read six fantasy books. My favourite by far was Reckless by Lauren Roberts it took me by surprise as the first book was…predictable… to say the least. With Reckless it has everything you could want in a fantasy book and the ENDING left me with my jaw open. I need the third book now!
Let me know what you read in February and your faves or highlights of them month.
Finally, I want to touch upon the last ten days of Ramadan. I did experience a dip in motivation during the last few days. And it is important to acknowledge that it is normal to feel the dip. It just makes me acknowledge that the essence of Ramadan is challenging. Challenge is equal to growth and by embracing and recalibrating my intentions, I’ve emerged re-energised and ready to make the most of the final ten days.
Ramadan’s conclusion is always bittersweet- it is a chance to go deeper and really put all my focus and efforts to deepen my connection with my faith before this sacred month slips away. I am going to strive to make these final days as meaningful as possible.
So, here is a friendly reminder, whether you celebrate Ramadan or not to put all your focus on that one goal for these last ten days of the month. Here is to making every moment count and to the stories that continue to shape us, one page at a time!
I hope you enjoyed reading!
